Filmmaker Luke Matheny 'Oscar night'


Lanky young filmmaker Luke Matheny delighted the audience at the Oscar night, Sunday, accepted the award for best live action short film. Matheny seemed surprised as anyone when he took the stage, expressing what everyone thought.

"I have a haircut," he joked.

The audience laughed with Oscar Matheny who went to win them over with a moving speech in which he then thanked his mother, who has a regular service to the film crew. He also thanked "the love of my life," which marked the film.

83. Academy Awards began at 5:00 p.m. local time, at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The show was hosted by actors Anne Hathaway and James Franco, who was nominated for an award for best actor.
