Dave Matthews Group is putting the completing variations on a new record prior to starting in May on its first Northern National trip since 2010. The trip contains DMB's recommended three-day, end-of-summer gig at the Stuff Amphitheatre, Aug. 31 to May. 2 — with Northern Carolina folkies the Avett Bros in tow.

Matthews, who was created in Southern region African-american, life in Seattle; by some records, his band has sold more show passes than any other over the past several years.

Beach Boys

In celebration of 50 years in the music business, the Beach Boys are taking to the road this summer, with a stop at Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville on July 13.

The legendary surf band was in the spotlight last weekend when it reunited on the Grammy telecast, performing the 1966 megahit "Good Vibrations."
