Starbucks is celebrating its 40th anniversary today, issuing gift certificates in case $ 40 for customers who sign in with the Foursquare.
The promotion, which began this morning at 0:01 ET / PT will continue until 11:59:59 pm PT, will provide 500 of these cards to the people involved in check and open a Starbucks "Tribute Plate." The Consumers also can enter the sweepstakes by mail by sending a note with the subject "Starbucks Foursquare submission of entry" for foursquare@starbucks.com. The winners will be drawn March 16.
The promotion comes as Starbucks is celebrating its 40 anniversary with a new logo, advertising campaign and new products, including pastries "Little" Tribute and the mixture of coffee at Starbucks.
Starbucks has established a link with the front Foursquare with mixed results. A program last year gave discounts to the mayors of several stores, but some consumers have complained that the stores are expected to participate were not aware of the promotion.
