Miss Universe 2011 Contestants
Monday evening the 60 th Miss Universe contest in San Paulo, Brazil, 89 delegates compete for the crown. So, who is vying for a big title, and who is favored?
They compete in the Miss USA Alyssa Campanella, auburn-haired beauty of California, which was considered the favorite, and is particularly happy in his balance and the behavior of bubbly. Brook Lee, was the last American to win the crown in 1997, and many are putting their money and Campanella.
Some other ladies positioned as potential winners? Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup, Miss Venezuela and Miss Mexico Vanessa Gonçalves Karin Ontiveros, Miss Australia Scherr Lee Biggs (video above left).
Then there is Miss India Sunkavalli Vasuki, who received a law degree at New York University, a member of numerous committees for human rights, and drafted the letters of the Indian representatives. And Sarah El Khouly, who won the Miss Egypt 2010, competition in Egypt because there was no national drama in the middle of this year, the country's political divisions.
Seven celebrity judging by the three-way races are the Real Housewives star Adrienne Maloof Beverly Hills, journalist Connie Chung and actress Vivica Fox. Natalie Morales Today, it houses an anchor and producer Andy Cohen, Bravo.
"I do not think there is any doubt in the minds of the rest of the world that Brazil is the place between the host for the Olympics and hosts the World Cup," said Paula Shugart, president Miss Universe Organization. "I like the fact that we're going to blow away. I always say that we are the World Cup "of beauty."
The show will be broadcast live on NBC at 9:00 ET on Monday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
