Google Ice Cream: Google is the only place to celebrate the birth of a cup of ice cream!

The ice cream was born 119 years ago in Ithaca, New York!

According searchengine.com, ice cream cup, inventors, John Scott and Chester Platt, first called Cherry Dish on Sunday and tried to trademark the term "Sunday", but failed. It later became known as "Sundae!"

According to the story in Tomkins County Center said Sunday, April 3, 1892 in Ithaca, Scott, a Unitarian minister, and Platt, a co-owner of Platt & Colt Pharmacy, created the first documented ice historically. Platt covered dishes of ice cream with cherry syrup and candied cherries. The earliest known evidence for ice cream is made a newspaper ad Platt and Colt for a "Cherry Sunday" moved to the Ithaca Journal newspaper on April 5, 1892. In May 1892, Platt and Colt soda fountain also served as "Strawberry Sunday" and then "Chocolate Sunday." Platt and Colt "Sunday" has become so popular that in 1894, Chester Platt attempted ice cream brand term "Sunday."
