Wes Leonard Died Late On Thursday


Western Michigan high school basketball player collapsed in court and then he died to make the game-winning shot against the cap of his team's perfect season.

Fennville High School basketball player Wes Leonard, 16, died late on Thursday, Dutch hospital spokeswoman Deb Patterson said. Cause of death has not yet been determined.

"It's hard to take," teammate Shane Leonard Bale told the Sentinel Holland. "It's as if someone in your family, you know?"

Paramedics performed CPR, first Leonard was pronounced dead at the hospital, said Patterson.
