Marquette University Team Immediately

Marquette University coach Buzz Williams said his team immediately after the return of a huge collapse in Louisville on Saturday. The debate has raised his confidence in a quick return.

Darius Johnson-Odom and Jimmy Butler each scored 20 points and Marquette overwhelmed DePaul 94-64 on Tuesday night, handing the Blue Demons from their 19 straight Big East loss.

Jae Crowder added 18 points and the Golden Eagles used a 12-0 run to end the first half to turn a round in the beginning of a great fight.

Marquette (13-6, 4-2) squandered a lead of 18 points with under six minutes to go in a 71-70 loss to Louisville on Saturday, but there was no recurrence.

"Once we got off the bus and was in the air, we all sat and talked for Buzz" Butler said.

Williams, who took the blame for not helping his team down the stretch against the Cardinals, said the responses he heard him realize his team was close to losing his advantage.

"I think the boys are very quiet confidence about who they are," said Williams. "Because of their relationship off the floor, there without them, who believe in them."

The game is the only break in the conference program of the first half brutal in Marquette. The Golden Eagles play No. 16 Notre Dame on Saturday, followed by No. 8 Connecticut, No. 3 and No. 7 Villanova Syracuse.

"Just as Rush said, just take one day at a time, working with us the more we work on our opponent. I think everything will be fine, "Butler said.
