Normally, a student having sex does not make headlines.

But Brandon Davies is not just any student. He is a superstar in the basketball team at Brigham Young University - currently ranked No. 3 - and is therefore bound by the code of the Mormon school's strict honor. And in addition to mandating that students "[a] bstain liquor, tobacco, tea, coffee and drug abuse" and "[u] see the pure language," students are expected to BYU "live a chaste life."

That means that before getting the exchange of vows is strictly prohibited.

So Davies, a center to the periphery of the team from Brigham Young University, at least for the rest of the season after being accused of having sex before marriage. (There are rumors that the online Davies misconduct came to light after his girlfriend became pregnant, but against the surge office could not find any reports confirming that.)

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Davies has apologized to his teammates BYU Cougar.

He is very intelligent and very talented ... it's a huge loss, so we wanted to make sure that we went inside as much as possible," he told the Associated Press.

The Pumas will have to regroup quickly to offset the loss of Davies, as sportswriters after the suspension. "The second year was a key member of the area before BYU," said ESPN. The sports channel also noted that "BYU Final Four possibilities [is] a significant blow."

Vanquish Foe, BYU Cougars blog of supporters running to provide alternatives to the lineup. How Bleacher Report points out, the backup will focus on the team has not had a lot of court time this year. "Get out of having their starting center could fly against the lower seeds, but all but ensures that you are not going to run as deep as many experts have predicted."

These struggles aside, BYU, even in the school newspaper, sports editor, says he is not angry about the decision to suspend Davies, at least in the season. JJ Despain writes. "Davies and his work at the shopping cart will be greatly missed as Cougars conclude the regular season and postseason play for the head but believe it or not, there are things more important than sport."
