Metra Train Schedule

Metra officials hope to restore full service to a majority of its lines on Thursday, two days after a blizzard blanketed the area and disrupted transportation.

Metra plans on operating a normal weekday schedule Thursday on seven of its lines and a modified weekday schedule on the remaining four lines, according to a statement on Metra’s website.

The affected lines are:

• Union Pacific/Northwest Line -- Car removed from tracks at Quenten Road Late Trains #602, #604, #606 and #608

• Union Pacific/North Line -- Inbound Train #306 scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 7:17 a.m. (25-minute delay); Outbound Train #805 scheduled to arrive in Kenosha at 4:15 p.m. (80-minute delay); Inbound Train #342 scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 3:25 p.m. (90-minute delay)

• Union Pacific/West Line -- Outbound Train #15 scheduled to arrive in Elburn at 7:50 a.m. (15-minute delay)

• Milwaukee District/North Line -- Outbound Train #2101 scheduled to arrive in Lake Forest at 7:29 a.m. (15-minute delay)

Metra is expecting closed roads in Kane, Lake and McHenry counties to be reopened by Thursday morning, the statement said. If they are not open, trains serving that area could be impacted and trains and passengers may not be able to use those stations.

The following lines will run on a regular weekday schedule: Metra Electric, Rock Island, SouthWest Service, Heritage Corridor, Milwaukee West, Milwaukee North and North Central Service.

The following lines will run on a weekday schedule: BNSF, UP West, UP Northwest and UP North

Passengers should expect delays and riders are encouraged to check Metra’s website for delay information.
